Kayla and Pharoah, I love you. For you I would do anything. Daddy will be home as soon as I can.
After 6 years my marriage has failed. When it started I was a single man with no kids. Then she came into my life with a child of her own. A child whose first word was "Daddy". When she looked me in the eye and said that I knew I would be okay. Two years later my "daughter" had a brother. Five years have now passed and they are such lovely children.
But in this hectic world, and scary times I have become separated from them. 2000 miles away and almost a year since I seen them, my heart hurts. I need them more and more everyday.
For them I got my G.E.D and went to college to make a life for us all. I wanted to do the right thing then, just as I know I need to do the right thing now. It's not as simple as moving there and everything works.
I was always told if your going to wish, wish big. Boy do I have a big one. It seems impossible sometimes. But I know nothing is impossible.
Saving money now-a-days is a hard thing to do for a full-time student and father sending money to his kids. Trying to save for a house in the midst of it all is daunting. At this rate, it'll only take me 4 more years to get what I need to save enough money to buy or even lease a house. By then though, Kayla will be 11. Pharoah, he'll be nine.
I watched every first thing.
We love hiking, camping, sledding, boating, camping. It's been along time though.
My wish is a big one.
I just wish I had the money to buy or put down on a house. That's all. A place I could call my own, and a place my kids could always come home to. Somewhere we can start the next part of our lives in. A place that is stable and full of all the love they need in this hard time with parents living apart, and all the times to come.
My Wish, is to be back with my kids.
